1923
A company “Ideal Radiotelefon- & Apparatefabrik” was founded in Berlin when radio was just beginning to develop. Product portfolio is headphones and radios. Headphones with particularly high sound quality have been marked with a blue dot as a quality mark. The blue dot quickly became a symbol of outstanding quality.
1932
Blaupunkt produced the world’s first car radio.
1938
The quality mark became the brand’s trademark, and the blue dot became the company’s name – Blaupunkt. “Just a little dot but it matters a lot.”
1959
Wide range of consumer electronics has been expanded with the TVs and radios. The Arkona series has been very successful and popular since its launch. More than 1,000,000 car radios were sold.
1996
Blaupunkt established the production of a wide range of consumer electronics and car multimedia electronics with the quality inherent in German manufacturers. Goods had been sold more than in the 50 countries around the world.
2010
The full range of consumer electronics and car multimedia has been distributed over 50 countries.
2016
Blaupunkt received the “Brands of the Century – Stars 2016” award. A panel of experts in collaboration with the editors of the specialized publishing house «Deutsche Standards Editionen» nominated Blaupunkt.
